Suminagashi ink marbled abstract artwork created in my studio and on walks beside the rivers on Dartmoor and in rock pools by the beach, using plant based inks.

Created using the harmony of air over water, using black and coloured plant based inks.

Abstract Heritage Marbled

Sustainable artwork created from using up the inks and paints left on the surface of the water bath after a pattern has been transferred to paper or textiles.

The art is created on bookbinding resources, on quality watercolour, cartridge and Japanese hand made paper, then affixed to painted cubes, or floating frames or in mounted window cards.

The cubes are available in several sizes, 2cm x 2cm x 2cm or 5cm x 5cm x 5cm and are gift boxed.
