Marbling Artist + Leatherworker

I am a multi-media marbling artist, a sustainable maker and an educator. I marble on paper, textiles, including leather, and wood. I love the diversity of marbling, creating fabled leather goods, wearable textile art, home decor, lighting and stationery.
I tutor workshops and demonstrate in schools, galleries and museums throughout the UK. I am also a tutor at West Dean College.
Marbling is different to the stone marble, for which it is named for. Marbling is an ancient surface pattern craft, originating in Japan over a thousand years ago. It is now seen as an endangered heritage craft, with less than 20 professional UK artists. The surface pattern is created from paint, or inks, being floated on water, with patterns made using simple tools and combs, before being transferred to paper or fabric. For 2025, I am designing marbled leather carry goods, sustainable jewellery, hand marbled gift wrap, books and cards. I’ll be launching some of these at Craft Festival Bovey Tracey 6-8 June 2025

I make all my products made to order and ship 3-4 weeks from order and 6-8 weeks for trade. Personalisation and gift wrap are complimentary and commissions are always welcome.
