24 September 2025
During Devon Open Studios, Devon Artist Network, coordinated a day's filming in my studio with TV presenter and journalist Emma Ruminski from BBC Spotlight.
We spent the day talking about endangered heritage crafts, the history of marbling, my sustainable approach to my materials and the help I have received from a number of organisations since turning professional in 2021 and launching my brand ROCWORX in 2022.
Loved that I could demonstrate how I deconstruct a ballet slipper which are kindly donated by The Royal Ballet and Opera. Proceeds from sales go to Trussell Trust food bank charity. I also demonstrated some basic marbling patterns on to some leather. Emma even made her own Suminagashi ink marbled pattern on paper to take home.
