Fireside Set: Devon Leather Baskets on Oak Base + Oilskin and Leather Carrier

A luxury fireside range of baskets and oilskin log carrier.

Each basket is made using Devon oak bark, veg-tanned bridle leather and set on a solid Oak wood base, attached with brass screws and finished with a copper riveted loop.

The log carrier bag is doubled layered for strength, made using water-resistant, Scottish oilskin, in a dark russet brown and has hand stitched, veg-tanned leather handles in Dark Oak, plus an easy access closure. I suggest sponge cleaning this carrier to retain the water-resistant oils.

The sturdy bridle leather, used for the baskets, is the colour of warm honey. The leather’s patina will darken and become richer in colour over time. My care package, sent with the baskets, includes a tin of Sandlewood leather balm to keep the leather in good condition. 

I love that these pieces are so versatile and can also be used as storage, for throws, toys, or as plant pots, or even bins in the home office or home.  The log carrier bag is ideal for transporting logs and kindling to the your fireplace or outdoor firepit.
