Love tokens are an ancient tradition, an offering to a loved one in exchange for a hug or a kiss or even promise of betrothal. Pebbles, twisted yarn, pressed flowers, or carved wooden discs were offered. The idea for these paper and leather heart tokens came from my working with a non verbal teenager.
Made, as part of my sustainable range, from repurposed bookbinding paper and journal leather resources. The marbling paper is waxed and affixed to the leather heart and branded on the back.
Proceeds from each sale go to the incredible work of Trussell Trust (UK), the food bank charity, which I donate to annually.

Marbling is an endangered heritage craft, typically seen in books and paper products.
