Charity Donations

I am keen to show my support within my local community and for national charities.  Charities were devastated by the pandemic, losing over £6 billion in revenue in just one year.  Run by volunteers, these charities need our support.  

My way to help is to offer donations through art giveaways online and offering handmade books and marbled fabrics made as a demonstration in my workshops, for a charity donation at my in-person events.   
For 2024 my charity of the year is Refuge.  This charity supports women to live a life free from fear and violence.  

ANNUAL ONE OF MANY POSTCARDS GIVEAWAY

February - April
Over on Instagram I run an annual charity postcard giveaway.  These are given away to randomly picked followers on Instagram. I make a limited batch of marbled and lino-cut printed postcards to send to chosen followers for them to donate what they can to their chosen charity.  Offering postcards this way is based on trust and I love that my postcards have been sent all over the world and the feedback received and charities chosen.

ANNUAL ART FOR CHARITY ONLINE FUNDRAISER

14-28 February 
This my annual fundraiser to raise funds through art gifted by artists from across the UK.  
For the online fundraiser, artists donate arts and crafts to gift to donors on the auction night.  I am humbled by the generosity of everyone involved and pleased we raised £165 in 2024 for Refuge and over £500 in less than 10 days for the  UNICEF Earthquake Disaster fund in 2023.

The Great Charity Pottery and Print Fair  @thegreatcharitypotandprintfair
I was so pleased to participate in the online charity auction in 2023, with over 300 exceptional potters and printmakers across the UK.  I offered 50% discount on my lino-cut marble prints and auctioned a marbled leather item.  All donations went to my chosen charities for that year, Trussle Trust (food banks) UNICEF and Woodland Trust.

Twitter Art Exhibit   #TAE
Each June, X (Formerly known as Twitter) pick a country to host a charity in that country.  The host exhibits postcards sent in by artists from across the globe. They hold an online charity auction, plus an in-person auction in the venue over 3 days. It’s been a privilege to part of this worldwide exhibition for a number of years.
